5 Rooftop bars in Lisbon you must try!
Known as “the city with seven hills, which is not Rome” Lisbon has a great number of rooftops overlooking the river as well as the old neighborhoods of Alfama and the historical castle. Here are my top 5 rooftop bars and restaurants in Lisbon.
Javá Rooftop
Located right next to Cais do Sodré, Java rooftop is a great stop to go for drinks before hitting the more lively pink streets or to go for dinner in the neighborhood of Santos. From here you have a view over the sea as well as the city towering above on the hill. Javá has good food and even greater drinks. Can very much recommend to anyone!

Hotel Mundial
As the name suggests, this bar belongs to the hotel Mundial but is open to anyone to come and watch the sunset over some drinks. The bar is located right next to the Martim Moniz square, so you have a view of the city center, the sea as well as a great angle on the Castelo S. Jorge.

Noobai
I am unsure what qualifies as a rooftop bar but this place is called “Rooftop Bar e Restaurante” so I feel it belongs on this list. Located on the Miradouro de Santa Catarina, this bar has arguably one of the best views over the sunset in Lisbon. Facing west and located on the slope, the bar gives you the feeling to be towering over the city and being close to the sea. The entrance is done from the park called Jardim do Alto de Santa Catarina. A nice plus: on the miradouro, in the park is usually live music from street artists performing all kinds of music. Sunset, drinks and music, what else do you need?

Carmo Rooftop
Located next to the ruins of the old convent of Carmo, this rooftop has arguably the best view of the Castelo S. Jorge and the view towards the east. Carmo Rooftop has a pizza oven if you’re hungry but also has great drinks to sip on while admiring the view over the castle. Carmo also has a collaboration with an organization that holds cinema nights out in the air. I saw Reservoir Dogs on screen while eating popcorn and having a view of Lisbon at night.
Terraços do Carmo, Largo do Carmo, 1200-288 Lisboa, Portugal
Go A Lisboa Rooftop
If you want to beat the crowd and try a place only a few know about, then this is your place. Located right next to the bridge, this rooftop has “cool vibes and warm souls” according to them (and I agree). The decor aims to remind you of something like Marocko with cushions and colors. The place has brunch, lunch as well and dinner if you want to see the bridge at night. The view is amazing as you can guess and the dishes and drinks done by a very talented crew.
